InSeis' new MC2D seismic survey "Faroe Islands - Shetland Tie Extension 2006" (IS-FSTE-06)

The IS-FSTE-06 is an extension of the IS-FST-02 MC2D survey. M/V Bergen Surveyor will acquire the survey which is scheduled to commence during June 2006. The processed data will be available to the industry by December 2006. Long offsets and a powerful source, combined with extensive experience from processing of the IS-FST-02 survey, will ensure high quality data. The prospects are large structural four-way closures at the mid-Paleocene unconformity and base Tertiary level. The anticipated reservoirs comprises early to late Paleocene sandstones overlain and sealed by middle Series hyaloclastites and lavas. The Brugdan prospect is the first of these structures to be drilled, due August 2006.
