Wavefield Inseis further expands in Asia Pacific
Bergen, Norway, 21 November 2006.Newly formed marine geophysical specialist, Wavefield Inseis AS, has opened its first Asia Pacific office in Perth , Australia . Designed to give the company closer access to the Asia Pacific marketplace, this expansion will enable Wavefield Inseis to enhance customer support within the region while also providing an ideal platform to support the company’s continued growth. Wavefield Inseis’ first permanent presence within the Asia Pacific region, the Perth office will be headed by new Asia Pacific marketing and sales manager, Tim Spencer. With 28 years’ experience in the industry, Spencer joins the company after eight years with PGS Asia Pacific as geophysical operations manager. Reporting directly to Rick Donoghue, Wavefield Inseis’ vice president sales and marketing, Spencer will be responsible for increasing the awareness of the company’s client services, together with leading the coordination of Wavefield’s marketing and sales activities throughout the Asia Pacific territory. “As part of our strategic development, we have been planning to increase our presence in the Asia Pacific region for some time,” commented Donoghue. “The opening of the Perth office is an exciting development for us, but this is only the first of several initiatives we are currently pursuing in our strategy for growth.” Commenting on Tim Spencer’s appointment, Donoghue added, “With extensive experience in the E&P industry, Tim will be a real asset to us and further strengthens our senior management team.
