Phase 1 of InSeis’ Multi Client 2D seismic survey campaign offshore Colombia is successfully completed! On November 12th 2005, the state-of-the-art seismic vessel M/V Polar Venturer successfully finalized the acquisition of 2,990 km in the Cayos Basin offshore the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The data will be processed by Geotrace, and final processed data from the Cayos Basin will be available early February 2006. Phase 2 of the campaign will be carried out offshore the Pacific coast of Colombia during November and December 2005, and will include approx. 3,890 km of regional long-offset lines as well as approx. 4,130 km semi-detailed lines in the San Juan and Tumaco Basins. Processed data from the Pacific surveys will be available during the spring of 2006 and a comprehensive interpretation study, tying and calibrating the Pacific Colombian offshore basins to adjacent onshore basins, will be produced.
