The Wavefield Inseis Team has a reputation in the industry for successfully completing some of the most complex marine seismic projects in the world.

Atle Jacobsen - CEO
Atle Jacobsen - CEO

Atle has twelve years experience in the offshore E&P industry with several contractors including PGS and Stolt Offshore. Before joining Wavefield he was VP Operations with another major geophysical contractor. Atle has an M.Sc. in Nautical Engineering from NTH in Trondheim.

 
Erik Hokholt - CFO
Erik has a financial and auditor background, having been educated at the Norwegian School of Management (BI) and Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH). He has 5 years managerial experience from the audit and banking industry, before joining the geophysical company Petroleum Geo Services (PGS) in 1991, where he held senior Financial Director positions for 10 years. In 2001, Erik joined Norcosse Holdings Ltd, a company owning various Oil & Energy companies, as a group CFO. In 2004, he was appointed President of the Norwegian geophysical company, Inseis AS.
Mike Hodge - VP Business Development
Mike Hodge - QHSE Manager
Mike has twenty five years varied experience within the offshore geotechnical and seismic industries including time spent with Thales, Western-Geco, Schlumberger's Integrated Project Management division and Multiwave. More recently Mike worked at CGG where he was VP for Geosupport and Multicomponent Business Development. Mike graduated from Southampton University in 1981 with an M.Sc. in Electro-Acoustics.
Jan B. Gateman - Senior Vice President, G&G
Jan graduated from the University of Stockholm in 1983 with a MSc. in Marine Geology. He has more than 20 years seismic industry experience, with particular focus on the multi-client seismic business segment, and has held various senior management positions with companies such as Geco-Prakla (1983-87), Nopec (1987-1993), Compagnie Gènèrale de Gèophysique (CGG) (1993-98), GeoInnova and Inseis. He was one of the persons that pioneered the multi-client 3D seismic business in Northwest Europe and is also one of the founders of both GeoInnova and Inseis.
 
Peter Hooper - VP Operations
Peter Hooper - VP Operations
Peter has more than ten years experience in offshore seismic, sub-sea survey/construction, and marine operations. He has held senior positions with VeritasDGC, Geoconsult, and most recently Multiwave Geophysical. Peter is a B.Sc. (Hons) graduate from the University of Aberdeen, and holds a post Graduate Diploma in Hydrographic Surveying from the University of Plymouth.
 
Rick Donoghue - VP Marketing and Sales
Rick Donoghue - VP Marketing and Sales
Rick began his career in the seismic industry in 1979 and has had a variety of roles in offshore management, data processing, land acquisition, marine operations, international sales and marketing. His most recent position before joining Wavefield was as VP Marketing and Sales with Multiwave Geophysical. Rick holds a B.Sc. in Physical Geology from Exeter University.
 
Jan-Åge Langeland - VP Technical
Jan-Åge Langeland - VP Technical
Jan-Åge has been a key developer of marine seismic technology for many years and during his time at Schlumberger worked extensively on their streamer and OBC systems. He is responsible for all of the Company's technical and R&E activities. Jan-Åge has an MSc in Electronics, Signal Processing and Underwater Acoustics from NTNU in Trondheim.
 
Steinar G. Karlsen - VP Marketing & Operations, Multi-Client Services
Steinar graduated from the Polytechnical University of Kongsberg in Norway in 1971 and was later trained as a geophysicist with Geco AS (Oslo) and Western Geophysical Company of America (London). He started with Geco in 1974 and has since been employed in senior positions within marketing & sales, processing and navigation departments, as well as business development of multi client surveys at companies including Geco, Saga Petroleum, Master Seismic, CGG and Aker Geo. Steinar joined Inseis when the company was started in May 2001.
 
Ivar Gimse – Vice President, Multi-Client Business Development
Ivar graduated from the University of Oslo in 1983 with a MSc. in Geophysics. He has more than 20 years seismic industry experience, with particular focus on data processing, multi client seismic project development, Ocean Bottom Cable operations and technical marketing. Ivar held various senior management positions with Geco-Prakla (1983-1998) and PGS (1998-2006) before joining Inseis in 2006 as Vice President, Business Development.
